UPDATE 11/27/2021 - Dr. Puledda has had an overwhelming response from patients, and now has enough email responses to sort through and qualify. If more patients end up needing to email for interest, I will update this post again. For the time being they have received enough respondents. Statement from King's College: “In spite of COVID pausing laboratory work for a large part of 2019 - 2020, King’s have now recommenced studies into VSS with renewed vigour. Their key researcher, Dr Francesca Puledda under the supervision of Professor Peter Goadsby, recently received a Prize Fellowship from the College to continue her studies. Dr Puledda aims to understand more about the underlying biology of the condition, key insights from which will set the basis for an experimental trial to assess the efficacy of neuromodulation as a targeted treatment for VSS.” Visual Snow Research Study What is the study about? The aim of this trial is to further understand the brain processes underlying Visual Snow Syndrome and Migraine. Who can take part? Researchers are looking for participants:
If you agree to take part, a study doctor will conduct the appropriate assessments to ensure you are suitable for the study. You will then be asked to:

Together, we can continue ensuring that medical research continues into Visual Snow Syndrome, so effective and targeted treatments can be developed for those suffering from this incurable and untreatable debilitating condition. Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS) comes with many debilitating symptoms, with the main symptom being millions of moving dots across their entire visual field 24/7. This resembles “TV static.” In addition to the static, VSS has several other persistent visual and physical disturbances that patients experience constantly. No break. No relief. We thank you in advance; your support is key to reaching our goal. Your sponsorship is greatly appreciated. Here’s the easy breakdown of what we need from you: 1. select two dates that you want in order of preference (in case your first choice is taken already we will go with your second choice) 2. Email ([email protected]) or message your logo, website link and company description that your want included in the social media posts we make 3.
