You can fundraise

You are playing a key role, by raising funds, to accelerate VSS research so a cure is found sooner.
Every single dollar raised makes a significant difference in our mission to cure Visual Snow Syndrome. No matter which fundraising method you choose to do, your dedication and effort is greatly appreciated! There is no magic bullet to fundraising. No right or wrong approach to take.

Already have an idea of your own that you want to run with? Fabulous!

Have no clue where to start, but know that you have the desire to help and do more? Perfect, we are here to help get you from start to finish!

Prefer an online event? In-person is more your liking? No matter which direction you decide to go in, your effort will make a difference in the lives of so many people suffering from Visual Snow Syndrome.

Fundraising in 3 easy steps

Step 1: Decide to Help

You have already conquered the hardest step - deciding to help! Thank you! It takes a dedicated person to decide to take action, and we are grateful for you ambition and willingness to help cure Visual Snow Syndrome.

Step 2: Create your Fundraiser

We want you to select a fundraiser that inspires and excites you! If you hate physical activity we wouldn't recommend a 5K or walk-a-thon. Start to think what kind of fundraiser suits your skills and interests. Do you envision this being online or an in-person event? Is your personal network global where an online event will reach more of your contacts? Do you like a close community where an in-person event will draw a large crowd and several participants? Ask yourself, what types of events have drawn you in to attend?

Step 3: Involve your friends & family

People are excited to be presented with the opportunity to help others in need. Sometimes they just need to be reached out to, and told how they can help and get involved. Your friends and family will want to help you succeed with your fundraiser. Make sure to explain to them why this cause is so important to you, and then ask them for support. People like specifics, so make sure to give them solid ways they can help you with your fundraiser. This could be buying a ticket to attend, helping you solicit donations from local businesses, providing a service such as video creation to make a promo video for your fundraiser. There are endless ways that your friends and family can help, just make sure to give them guidance.

You can do practically anything to raise money

We plan to partner with you on your fundraising journey. We will start with a video call, where you can share your ideas, and/or request to hear some of our ideas if you are unclear on which direction you want to go. Each and every fundraiser is important to us, as it not only raises funds for research, but it also gives hope to people living with Visual Snow Syndrome that one day things will be better. Your fundraiser is helping make that day come sooner, and that is really something for you to feel proud of.

Here are a few brainstorming fundraiser ideas!

How would you like to fundraise?

Host an offline event

Garage sale, lemonade stand, golf tournament, bowl-a-thon, fundraising night at a local restaurant, bake sale, and 5K, just to name a few. The options are endless for in-person fundraising events. If you are ready to start planning your offline event, or a virtual event that requires planning, please fill out the contact form below, so we can set up a video call with you. We want to offer our support and help in any way possible to make your event a success!
