Silent Migraine
Migraine aura without headache or head pain, is sometimes referred to as a “silent migraine.”
Despite the absence of headache, silent migraine is still debilitating.
Silent Migraine symptoms may include visual, sensory or speech symptoms, nausea and/or sensitivity to light and sound.
Treating silent migraine symptoms can be difficult. There are not many tested medications in large enough studies to find effectiveness or ineffectiveness. Smaller studies suggest the use of magnesium, aspirin and lamotrigine may be helpful.
