Dinner and Auction Tomorrow! PDF Print E-mail

We are busy getting the house ready for tomorrow's event. It is hard to believe that this is the third event that we have had. Our goal for this year's event is $5000. So far we have raised $2200. We have $2800 more to go before 8 p.m. tomorrow night! Will we make it?

I'm going to take a new turn with this website. When it first started I wanted to offer a lot of facts and articles to really inform our readers. However, over the last year I have realized that there are really no articles out there on PMS, very little on floaters, and a few more on macular degeneration. I haven't been able to keep the website very up-to-date because of this.  Because of this, I've decided to start posting more personal accounts of what it is like to live with PMA and floaters. I'm also going to seek out individuals who suffer from AMD to let us know their own experiences.

While I'm typing this, my floaters are driving me crazy across this white computer screen. It is one of the main reasons that I don't spend much time on the computer. Sure, I'll check in from time to time on Facebook, email friends, and surf the web a little, but those floaters drive me crazy every single second of my web time.

Speaking of computers, I went to my usual weekly vision therapy session today. We were working with the "red/green" glasses and 3 dimensional figures. After about 5 minutes my doctor wanted me to switch the red lens from my left eye and put it on the right, and the green lens from my right and put it on my left. Easier said then done. Because of the PMA, I see both positive and negative after images. Well today my positive after images were geared up and after I took off the red/green glasses to switch the lenses, I realized that without the glasses, my left eye was still seeing everything red and my right eye everything green. So I walked around for the next 10 minutes thinking that I was living in Christmas town!
